Public Relations Committee

Who are we?

We are the Central Nova Area of Narcotics Anonymous Public Relations (PR) Committee.

What does “Public Relations” mean?

The term “Public Relations” refers to all of the relationships we create and maintain with the general public, professionals, potential members, and each other in our groups and service communities.

What is our purpose?

We perform Public Relations service to increase awareness and credibility of the NA program. We share our message openly with the public at large, with prospective members, and with professionals. We perform these services with the ultimate goal of carrying the message of recovery to the addict who still suffers.

What do we do?

We help to carry the message of recovery by:

How can I be of service?

Where do I sign up?

Come to the committee meeting! There are no clean time requirements to join the committee; however there are clean time requirements to hold some service positions within the committee. Remember, this is YOUR committee; your input is welcome and encouraged.

When do we meet?

We meet on the last Sunday of each month from 11:30 until 1:30 pm at Mic Mac Friendship center on Gottigen Street in Halifax.

“Everything that occurs in the course of NA Service must be motivated by the desire to more successfully carry the message of recovery to the addict who still suffers.”
